Last July, Julie told us about a crowd-funding project for a charging cable that could be carried in a credit-card slot in your wallet. That project was very successfully funded at more than 3 times the goal, and now the ChargeCard is ready for shipping to the general public. BiteMyApple, a website that sells only successful Kickstarter projects that were either designed for or compatible with Apple products, is taking pre-orders for the ChargeCard. There are three models available. The one that’s compatible with Apple’s 30-pin connector will be available in early March, and one for microUSB-compatible devices will ship in late March. A Lightning connector version will ship mid-May. Each cable will plug into a USB port on a laptop or wall charger, and each one folds up compactly so that you can carry it in your wallet. A ChargeCard, regardless of style, is $24.99.
