The Russian government is using a law passed last year to restrict online content, and it has reportedly made Facebook, Twitter and YouTube remove content it deemed objectionable. All three have reportedly complied, but YouTube is apparently filing suit in court. The Russian law created a blacklist of Internet sites containing alleged child pornography, drug-related and extremist material, and other content considered illegal. It also made service providers responsible for failing to protect children.
